Project aims
- Understand how people who maybe at higher risk of Clade Ib Mpox — or their families/carers — receive and respond to UKHSA public health messages, especially around vaccination, testing, and prevention, to improve the clarity, accessibility, and effectiveness of UKHSA communications.
- Identify what helps or hinders people in following public health messages.
- Explore whether higher-risk groups would change their behaviour (e.g. fewer sexual partners, avoiding high-risk places, getting vaccinated) during a clade Ib outbreak, and suggest ways UKHSA can better support these protective actions.
This builds upon previous work reported in HPRU BSE
