Research inclusion
Inclusion, both in our studies and our team, is core to ensuring our research is helping to reduce health inequalities. This theme embeds equality, diversity and inclusivity across our research themes, to strengthen diversity in our research participants, public contributors and workforce.
Our research inclusion strategy focuses on:
- Reviewing how our research themes contribute to health equity and build opportunities for all communities to take part in research
- Promoting diversity training to all HPRU staff
- Improving access and retention in health protection research careers for under-represented groups
- Evaluating projects and initiatives in HPRU research to improve inclusion of under-served groups
